Jackson Thee

Assistant Director

Jackson Thee is a flutist and educator pursuing his Master’s in Flute Performance at West Virginia University. A Capital University graduate, he specializes in contemporary music and music education and has studied with renowned flutists Nina Assimakopoulos, Lindsey Goodman, and Lisa Jelle.

Jackson Thee is a passionate and dedicated flutist currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Flute Performance at West Virginia University. He is a proud graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where he earned dual undergraduate degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education. During his time at Capital, Jackson was deeply involved in a variety of performance ensembles and educational initiatives, gaining valuable experience both on stage and in the classroom. His love for music and education led him to New Zealand, where he completed a transformative student teaching placement that broadened his global perspective and deepened his commitment to culturally responsive teaching. Jackson specializes in contemporary flute music and is especially interested in exploring extended techniques and new music collaborations. He has studied with esteemed flutists including Nina Assimakopoulos, Lindsey Goodman, and Lisa Jelle. With a unique combination of artistry, innovation, and pedagogical expertise, Jackson is committed to making meaningful contributions as both a performer and educator.
