Important:    Those wishing to be considered for scholarship should follow the following work flow: fill out the scholarship form first, wait to hear response, register with link and code provided after scholarship form is reviewed.

Appalachian Forest National Association Scholarships: Available for participants from 18 counties in the Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area. Includes tuition, day passes, and concert tickets. These will be shared in order of application until funds run out.

Eligible Counties:

West Virginia: Barbour, Braxton, Grant, Greenbrier, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral, Morgan, Nicholas, Pendleton, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph, Tucker, Upshur, Webster

Western Maryland: Garrett, Allegany

The International Festival of Flutes: People | Place | Culture, hosted by West Virginia University, takes place on lands that include the ancestral territories of the Shawnee, Lenape (Delaware), Haudenosaunee (Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, Tuscarora), Cherokee, and many other Indigenous peoples.

We honor and recognize the Indigenous Nations and communities who have stewarded this region since time immemorial, and on whose ancestral lands we gather today to celebrate diverse musical traditions and cultural expressions from around the world.
